Our Process

Working with HomeWise Builders is a process that has been developed and honed since our inception over 15 years ago. The process begins with the initial contact from the customer. Once we receive an inquiry we pride ourselves on quickly getting back to you to discuss your project and set up an initial consultation. At that consultation, we will listen to your needs and ideas to be sure we have a clear understanding of what you are trying to accomplish. At this point, after evaluating your project we determine which of two routes need to be taken.

DESIGN BUILD

WHAT TO EXPECT

For customers that need a locked in budget & help in the design and selection process of large scale jobs that have a lot of variables & costs.


1.The Estimate & Design Contract

The Customer receives a ballpark estimate of the proposed project costs from our Sales Associate and a Design Contract is signed with the discussed construction budget goals.

2. The Design Planning Process

The Customer works with our Design Team to discuss the details of the work and develop architectural plans.

Our Design Team will create and present a design plan.

Everyone works together to create a cohesive structural plan and present to the Client. The Customer makes final revisions.

Our Design Team finalizes structural drawings which are sent out for final approval.

3. The Construction Contract

Our Team works with Subcontractors to obtain accurate costing based on the final plans, striving to arrive as close as possible to the estimated budget. Numbers are presented to the Client and an Agreement is signed.

4. Project Management & Process

The Scope is handed off to our Project Manager and a Field Crew is assigned to the job.

Our Project Manager sets up a site visit in order to review the details and selections of the plan. The Project Manager officially becomes the Client’s new point of contact.

The Project Manager may take 1-2 weeks to finalize plans (ordering materials & scheduling subcontractors), determine a start date and populate our online, state-of-the-art project managing software.

The Customer is invited into the job’s online project management system which allows the Client to monitor construction progress and see everything that we are seeing. The Project Manager is never more than a phone call or text away during the process for questions.

5. Project Delivered

Schedules are adhered to as closely as possible and in a reasonable amount of time.

SELECTION ASSISTED BUILD

WHAT TO EXPECT

For customers that know what they want. This process works best with kitchen and/or bathroom jobs.


1. The Estimate

Our Team and the Customer discuss the details of the project’s scope of work.

Our Team provides the potential Client with an estimate for the project. (Followed by outlining additional allowances for things such as cabinetry, fixtures, flooring and lighting as allowed)

2. The Agreement

A target budget range is agreed upon by the Customer and a Agreement/Contract is signed.

3. Project Management & Process

The Scope of Work is handed off to our Project Manager and a Field Crew is assigned to the job.

Our Team sets up a meeting with the Project Manager and Field Crew to walk through the project details. The Project Manager officially becomes the Client’s new point of contact.

The Project Manager will guide the Customer through the material and selection process in order to help stay within the allotted allowances. The Project Manager works closely with the Client until all selections have been locked down and ordered.

The Project Manager determines the Start Date upon confirming material delivery dates and subcontractor availabilities.​

The Project Manager works with the subs, vendors and Team throughout the process and advises the Customer of the project’s progress. The Project Manager is never more than a phone call or text away during the process for questions.

4. Project Delivered

We work at the Customer’s pace to ensure comfort in the process and partnership.
